Each appointment is designed to deal with one specific problem. If you have more than one problem to discuss please bring a list to the doctor, who can help you decide which is the most important. The doctor will also advise you if time allows discussion of more than one problem, or if you will need to book further appointments. Some appointments take longer than expected and urgent matters also may arise. We thank you for your patience when this occurs. Medical Services Plan (MSP) does not cover all medical services – please see uninsured services for more information.
272 Medical has a strict zero tolerance for violence. Any violence, foul language, and abusive behaviours will not be accepted. Verbal threats or acts of violence will not be tolerated and will result in dismissal from the clinic.
Please notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to keep your appointment, so another patient may be accommodated in that time slot. Despite our best efforts, we all forget appointments at times. However, any missed appointments may result in a fee based on appointment length. Being over 10 minutes late incurs a late fee and may require rescheduling. Payment is needed before rescheduling. To avoid charges, cancel appointments 24 hours in advance.
Prescriptions will only be prescribed by appointment by your doctor. In general, prescriptions are written with refills in appropriate quantities such that running out of medications usually indicates that it is time to see your doctor. Please book an appointment at least one week prior to running out. This is to ensure your medical condition(s) are monitored appropriately.
Please note we do not accept refill requests by pharmacies. It is in your best interest to book an appointment to renew your prescriptions.
Our clinic uses virtual care technology for confidential communication with patients via audio calls and secure messaging. While we prioritize keeping your information secure, please be aware of potential privacy risks. Ensure a private setting for virtual care encounters and avoid using shared devices. Virtual care is convenient, but not a replacement for urgent in-person care. Stay protected by utilizing virtual care from the comfort of your home.
This clinic may use email for patient communication regarding clinical care. Please note that email may not be secure, and the clinic cannot guarantee its security outside the system. Understand the risks involved in sharing personal health information via email. Email responses may not be immediate, so avoid using it for emergencies.
